BIOGRAPHY

Charles Nii Armah Mensah Junior, popularly known by his stage name as Shatta wale formally Bandana. A Ghanaian born Raggae dancehall artist. Born on the 17th October 1984 to Charles Mensah Snr and mama Elsie.

EDUCATION

Shatta wale started his basic school at Seven great princess academy at Dansoman Accra, where he demonstrated his passion for arts and acted in a popular drama series; "By the firesides at the national theatre. He later had his Secondary education at Winneba Secondary School.


WIFE AND CHILDREN 

Shatta wale disclosed with Nana Ama Mcbrown on UTV United showbiz that, he has three (3) children with three (3) different women. Winnie is the daughter of Shatta wale who lives with her mother in Ghana. He has a son who lives with his mother in London. Wale has a third son, Majesty with his second baby mama Michele Diamond popularly known as Shatta Michy.

EARLY LIFE AND CAREER

Shatta wale changed his name from Bandana to Shatta wale after senior high school. His first hit song Bandana from Ghana was released in 2004.

Wale later got missing in the entertainment industry, when he left Ghana for Jamaica. By 2013, Shatta wale was back in the entertainment industry with another hit song, dancehall king. Shatta wale later threw a lyrical insult to the board of VGMA for robbing him of the awards of the artist of the year and presented it to a female. His song dancehall king took the airwaves thus, paving his breakthrough.

In 2015, Shatta wale made a defamatory remark against the CEO of Charted house Ltd in a Facebook video. The matter was taken to court and Wale was banned not to being nominated for awards at the 2015 awards.


ALBUMS

Shatta wale released his first album after the storm ' in 2016, by 2017, he released another album titled cloud 9'. In 2018, Shatta wale released the 'Reign album' and finally released 'Wonder boy' in 2019.

TOP COLLABORATIONS

Shatta wale in 2019 collaborated with Beyonce in a song titled "Already" on Beyonce's album, the Lion King. The song got a Grammy nomination.


AMBASSADORIAL DEALS

In 2014, wale became the brand ambassador for Guinness Ghana breweries and as a brand ambassador for rush energy drink.

In 2017, kasapreko company, producers of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks signed Wale as the brand ambassador for storm energy drink.

Shatta wale signed a deal with boss baker beef and rolls on 17th November 2017. He is also the brand ambassador for Infinix mobiles.

AWARDS

Wale made a record-setting as a dancehall artist to win 11 awards at the 2019 music awards.


HONOURS

Shatta wale was honoured as the most influential musician on social media in 2017. In March 2018, Wale was honoured for his contribution to Raggae music in Ghana at the 37th annual Chicago music awards.

Wale was also made the headline artist for the covid-19 app virtual launch concert on Monday, April 13th,2020.

Shatta wale in an interview with Delay on the"Delay talk show" disclosed that he snatch Samini's girlfriend and later sang" Megye wo girl" to mock him which brought dispute between the two artists.

Shatta wale is not only a musician but also an actor. He has appeared in several movies including; "Never say Never", "The trial of Shatta wale", and 'Shattered lives.

SHATTA WALE DEATH PROPHECIES

Shatta wale has disclosed severally that he is not happy with all the death prophecies around him. On three occasions have Ghanaians pastors talked about Shatta wale death.

Shatta wale was predicted to die in 2018 in a car crash, prophecied by prophet Stephen Kwadwo Adom, founder and leader of Zion miracle worship centre.

Prophet Cosmos Walker Affrah in 2018, wrote in a Facebook post that Ghanaians should pray for Shatta wale as God has revealed to him that the spirit of death was hovering around him.

On October 18th 2021, Bishop Stephen Akwasi Appiah aka Jesus Ahuofe said God has revealed to him that, the dancehall artist will be shot dead.

But upon all these prophecies, the dancehall artist is still kicking and growing more healthy and prosperous.

SHATTA WALE ARREST

Son October 19th 2021, Shatta wale was arrested by the Ghana police for faking a report that he has been shot by some gunmen.
